Your objective in this Bloons Tower Defense game is to place monkeys around the maze to defend from the onslaught of the moving balloons. As you get more money you can buy new towers or upgrade existing ones. Use your mouse to click on the tower type you want to build on the right side of the screen, then once its selected, place the tower in the maze. Press escape to deselect or cancel your current action. You can sell towers for extra money for 80% of what you paid for them. There are several types of bloons. Larger and faster colored bloons have smaller bloons inside them.
The game begins quite easy with just a few slow red balloons you may easily destroy. Moving up a level will lead to more balloons entering. Also higher levels will bring in new colored balloons. When for example you destroy a yellow balloon, it turns into a green balloon. This color needs again to be popped down to blue and red, before it’s gone. The more stages you proceed, the more variations of balloons you will encounter. In total the game has 50 different levels and in the end you will realize for what objective the super monkey has been created.
The game play of Bloons tower defense is as good as it can be. It’s easy to deploy your towers wherever you like, there’s no real difficulty in picking up the controls as it’s a simple point and click game. With the game being so simple there is no risk of any freezing or slowing of play whatsoever.
After the first 10 rounds the game becomes a lot more difficult, with balloons moving rapidly across the circuit, so a wise choice in tower deployment is vital. The idea here is to see if you can survive some of the more difficult rounds whilst resisting the temptation to add additional weaker towers. Somewhere along the line you will have to hold out for longer in order to be able to afford a stronger form of defense such as the ice tower in order to make surviving the later rounds realistic.
