Supremacy 1914 is a browser-based, free to play, massively multiplayer online role playing game where players become head of a mighty nations in Europe. Supremacy 1914 is a game set in the World War I time. The point of Supremacy 1914 is to get the Original Goal of 1000 Points and conquer Most of the Map or all of The Map. Anyone who conquers the map with most points wins and receives a number of Goldmark afterward. Form powerful alliances, build your economy, and prepare your nation for the war. Lead your men into battle and become the ruler of Europe. The duration of one round varies between four to eight weeks.
You are given full control of your country’s fate. You are able to take decisions such as, military recruitment, province build up, diplomacy, military movement, resources production and trading and finally espionage. Every big event is recorded in the Daily European which is a neat way to display latest news in the game. Players are also able to contribute to the newspaper by writing their own articles.
Already more than 340,000 players have registered for this strategy game. Strategists can 
play private rounds with friends or against competitors from all around the world, and this completely free of charge. In 2009 Supremacy 1914 won the Audience-Award in the Browser Game of the Year-election.
Gameplay and resources
In total, there are three different categories of resources that are essential for the survival of the European people: Food, building materials, and energy. Luckily all those resources are available on European soil. At the beginning of your term as the ruler of your country, it will consist of 12 provinces. Each province has a focus on one single resource that is being produced in large amounts to be shared throughout the nation. Resources are produced and consumed continuously. The resulting income rate for each resource is indicated per hour. If a resource is used up completely and still has a negative income rate, the resulting shortage will have negative effects like a drop in morale or buildings that cannot fulfill their duties anymore.
If a province has been upgraded with a working factory, it is able to produce advanced weapon technologies depending on the upgrade level of the factory. These allow more advanced strategies and are essential in the later course of the game. The following list provides an overview over the different types of weapons and their features.
Production times depend on the factory level; the production time given is the time needed when the factory level you reached is just the required one. If the factory level is higher than actually needed for a certain weapon, the building time will decrease.
Goldmark
Goldmark are the Premium currency in Supremacy 1914. With them you can use special features in the game that are not available without the use of Goldmark. You can very successfully play Supremacy 1914 without using Goldmark, but the systematic use of Goldmark can give you the crucial advantage that can lead you to victory.
