Gameplay mostly consists of levelling up, though there are several activities players can participate in that are essential to the game. Some of these activities are:

Trading: Buying and selling items. Players usually find this necessary in order to gain money and equipment otherwise unobtainable from NPC merchants.
Clans: Players can join clans, in which teamwork prevails. They are the core of the social community of the game. Clans can also participate in special events created for clans only. Clans can be made once a player reaches level 40 or higher.

These two teams will continue fighting monsters until the last one survives. The winning team is chosen by whichever one has the higher amount of points. Teams receive points by killing monsters and monster bosses. The Boss monsters give higher amounts of points. The winning team’s Clan Chief acquires rights over the Bellatra by gaining the ability to modify the monsters when the Chief fights next, by receiving an income from Bellatra, etc.
Bless Castle: Bless Castle is a Player vs. Player activity in which one clan holds and defends the castle from all other participating clans, which can use siege equipment.

ArchLord

ArchLord is a 3D fantasy MMORPG developed by NHN Games and Codemasters Online Gaming (COG)and it is set on the continent of Chantra and features four playable races; Orcs, Humans, Moon Elves and the new DragonScion. Orcs begin their quests in the Golunndo, Humans begin in Anchorville, Moon Elves begin in Norine, and DragonScions in Cien. They all have access to three classes except for the DragonScion that from level 20 evolves to one of the three races.

ArchLord received poor ratings; GameSpot criticized the repetitive and tedious gameplay, blurry graphics and lackluster audio, shallow quest and crafting system, and the hours of repetitive combat required to get to Player versus player and high-level content.

The reviewer’s only positive comment was that ArchLord offered familiar role-playing gameplay of “kill, loot, buy stuff”, overall awarding a “terrible” rating of 2.7 out of 10.Eurogamer awarded 4 out of 10, criticizing the lack of visual distinction between the power levels of monsters, with trial and error required to progress; a lack of other players, with those present not offering any legible dialogue; atrocious controls that caused the reviewer’s character to get stuck on scenery; interesting-sounding features (castle sieges, for example) being restricted to higher levels; and a user interface that’s “like using Windows 95 with a migraine.”
