allegiance11 AllegianceAllegiance is a free massively multiplayer online game developed by Microsoft in 2000 and now developed and maintained by volunteers. The Operating System for this game is Windows and the genre: Space Sim/RTS Hybrid. The game combines the strategy with the player piloted space combat gameplay.

The story of this game takes place in circa 2150, shortly after the destruction of Earth by an asteroid. This cataclysm forced the remnants of humanity to the stars in search of new land and resources. Humanity quickly fractures into four main factions:allegiance21 Allegiance

  • The militaristic Iron Coalition, descendants of a United Nations-sanctioned peacekeeping force.
  • GigaCorp, a transplanetary corporation bent on controlling all natural resources.
  • Belters, a motley collection of traders, freedom fighters and pirates.
  • and the Bios, a mysterious off shoot of genetically engineered humans with their own agenda for “stalegenes”.
allegiance 31 AllegianceAllegiance was first released for multiplayer on the Microsoft Zone under the name Allegiance Zone. This was a paid subscription service but free play was available on the Free Zone (which had fewer features). The game never achieved commercial success however, selling a mere 29000 units in the first year of release and the official servers closed in 2002.

crime Organized CrimeOrganized Crime is a hi5-based arcade game, you don’t have to pay some fees and you even don’t need to have a hi5 account in order to play this game.
At first, the player will have to choose a featured image to represent them, and be careful, you won’t be able to change it later. At a first glance, the game is quite interesting and catching, but I have played it for a long time, so I might confess it really is.

An important step that should be taken is be part of a gang, preferring a numerous and powerful one. Moreover, there is a shop where you can buy gadgets, guns, weapons, and energy supplies. The weapons and gadgets can be bought with money you gain from your accomplished missions, but the energy and power supplies can only be bought with hi5 coins.

On this game you especially have to build your village and create how many troops you can because you never know when the enemy strikes. You are able to associate with a tribe, and in that manner you will be protected along with you mates from that tribe, but you also have to defend them if needed.

However, Tribal wars turns to be a really good game based on strategy and availability, although, in my case, the village I had, along with the crops and troops were destroyed  due to a raid, even if I was online at that moment and I could see them coming, I could do nothing to save my work for months. All that happened because a tribe attacked my tribe and surrounded it.

Basically, this game is well-known in the strategy game niche because of its graphics and because you are not competing with a computer, but with other players.

Beginning with a small plot of land, in Ikariam you’ll gather resources, construct buildings, and help steer your farm to a city, your city to an empire, and your empire to a nation. There are hundreds of islands scattered across the world. Each island has two collective resource spots, one that produces wood and the other that produces one of the other four resources. This means all islands lack at least three resources that players need to expand, forcing players to either trade, raid, or colonize other territories across the seas.

In Ikariam you start with a town on a randomly chosen small island. Every island has building materials and one of four possible other resources: marble, wine, crystal, and sulfur. Marble is needed for most buildings beyond the basic levels. Wine is needed to keep your population happy. Crystal is used for research and to improve your units. And sulfur is needed to build most units. To get more islands, you’ll need to build an Academy. Then you need to put some of your population into the Academy to research. There are four areas you can research: Seafaring, Economy, Science, and Warfare. There are no computer enemies in Ikariam, but there are plenty of other humans that could be either friend or foe. Luckily, there are quite a few things you can do for protection. There’s a town wall you can build and upgrade that helps protect the town. There is a very large number of alliances you can join. People in your alliance can help you with warfare. There are even spies available that you can train to investigate other cities. Also, the game relies on a variety of processes such as the ones just mentioned, expanding and constructing buildings, gathering the material on your island, and much more. All this takes time. As you get to higher levels, it takes even more time, sometimes days to get things done if you do not have enough supplies for other upgrades. That is why this is not a game you can sit down and play for hours. You’ll end up just waiting for something to happen, and it will take a while.

This is amazing game, because it is a great way to keep occupied during breaks at work without getting so addicted that you lose days of your life! This game was made to be played for a small amount of time each day. Enjoy!
